Web Design Standard Terms

A deposit of £100 (GDB) or 25% of the original quotation, whichever is higher, is payable in advance for all web site design work unless otherwise agreed.

This will also register your chosen .co.uk domain name (other domains ie .com/.net may be registered at an extra charge) and we will design the home page.

This page will then be published to an Internet location for the clients written or e-mailed approval before any further work is carried out.

Once the clients approval for this page is received we will continue to develop the website using the content agreed before hand.

The progress of the website can be monitored 24-7 from the same location so that any alterations can be made during the development process. If at any time, prior to the clients approval, the client is not happy with any aspect of the website we will change it.

Only when the client has confirmed in writing or by e-mail that they are satisfied with the website will we publish it to the registered domain.

The balance of the website design fee will become due once the website is completed* to the clients satisfaction and published to the registered domain.

Balances must be paid in full on receipt of our invoice.

All websites remain the property of Dacan Internet Services, until such time as payment is made in full.

Monthly Services

Where the unlimited text up-date service is required the service will be at the discretion of Dacan Internet Services. It will be applied only to static web pages and not those which are dynamically or database driven or Flash sites.

All required text changes must be supplied by the client, by e-mail to be added to the respective pages.

Special arrangements can be made with clients wishing to have full up-dates on a regular basis prices can be discussed individually.

Hosting Options

The following hosting terms and fees relate to Standard Website Hosting (Standard HTML websites not including e-commerce or database driven websites). All e-commerce or database driven website hosting fees will be quoted on an individual basis.

An annual hosting fee is charged on all standard websites and will also include renewal charges for .co.uk domain names.

At present (April 2004) this charge is £160 per year (static web sites only - database driven sites will be priced on an individual basis).

This fee is payable as soon as the website goes live and will then be due for renewal 12 months from the date the website goes live, payable in full 1 month in advance to ensure continuation of service.

Standard websites designed using our Template Design Package will receive FREE hosting and .co.uk domain name registration for a period of 12 months.

Clients may host their websites, designed by Dacan Internet Services, on previously registered web space in which case no hosting fee will be payable to Dacan Internet Services.

This option will also apply to clients wishing to host their websites on free web space provided by a free ISP.

General

All prices on this website are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are subject to change without notice.

Where a quote is based on the number of pages required a page will be approximately of A4 size. Where a larger amount of content is required on a single page an extra charge may be made.

*Where a clients approval is sought after completion of certain sections of a web site and no approval is received after 30 days from the initial notice an invoice will be issued to cover work carried out. This invoice is payable whether or not the site is published to the registered domain.
